Our little cowboy

I don't really think Carter had any idea what Halloween was going to be about, but he sure liked dressing up and loved carrying his treat bag. Before we headed out for the big night we were invited to a friends for dinner and it was so yummy. Everyone looked so cute dressed up. Carter did not like any of the costumes or homes that were decorated "Scary". He tried his hardest to stay clear of them. He was so cute and would go up to homes and say trick or treat and Thank you. He loved that they were giving him something. We noticed that he was walking like a "cowboy" when he would go up the the homes, and thought it was so cute. Later that night we realized his boots were on the wrong feet. Poor kid. He also loved to help pass the candy out to the kids that came to our house. We had a fun day and I think he is a fan of Halloween. He did not eat any of the candy, but he had fun getting it.

Fun with Grandma Jo

Grandma Jo came to visit and came with lots of fun. Carter is going to be a cowboy for Halloween and we asked her if she saw any cute stuff if she could get is for him. Carter is going to be the coolest cowboy and is having so much fun playing with everything. We ventured to a farm that had lots of fun rides and a pumpkin patch. Carter loved it.

Carter had so much fun with Grandma. He even had his first ice cream cone and loved it. Thanks Grandma for coming and having so much fun with us.

California

We planned a trip to California with my side of the family. Nate's uncle was kind enough to let us stay at the house again. We love the beach house and was so excited to share it with my family. We usually go in July, so it was a lot different to go in October. It was chilly at night and we even got a few days of rain. We had a great time relaxing, watching the kids play and enjoying a few games ourselves.

Aimee and Mike were the undefeated champions of playing Horseshoes

One of the days that it was raining and half our group went to Disneyland, Nate Carter and I ventured to an indoor aquarium right next to Lego Land. It was fun and Carter loved the Sharks.

Nate and Carter's new Lego family - So cool

We decided that it would be fun to go to Disneyland. Because of the earlier day's of rain the sunny day we decided to go was pretty busy. It did not stop the fun we had. Carter loved it and loved going on all the rides. We thought he would be super scared of all the big Disney characters, but he loved them. HE did not get to see Mickey, but we say Pluto, Goofy and Mini.

For dinner we read many reviews and recommendations that we needed to try the Monte Cristo Sandwich. Nate and Aimee were brave and got it and I will have to say that it was pretty tasty. It is turkey and cheese deep fried in a waffle batter, sprinkled with powdered sugar and a side of raspberry dipping sauce. It is a heart attach waiting to happen, but tasty.

This was us at the end of the night waiting for the Halloween fireworks show to start. Carter was super tired, but was a trooper.

We has a wonderful time in Cali with our family. It was nice to just be together, relax, enjoy and have fun together. Thanks for a great trip!!!
