Carter did great, but was excited to get out and explore. It was so beautiful, green, cool and remote. It did not even feel like we were in AZ. We quickly set up camp and then hit the river. While Nate fished Carter and I tagged along and threw rocks in the river and discovered lots of crazy bugs.
We really kept it simple and grabbed Subway on the way in for dinner and boiled water for instant oatmeal for breakfast. We did not want anything to stress over. Carter is addicted with moomoo's (movies), so we brought our laptop fully charged and put in a movie to watch and hopefully fall asleep too. Carter was tired, but not tired enough to stop watching the movie. We finally turned it off and all snuggled under the stars in our tent. Carter slept great and didn't even wake up when Nate snuck out of the tent to go fishing.
We put carter in our backpack and hiked down river to explore and fish. Carter found an old fishing pole and had so much fun pretending he was fishing like daddy. Nate caught some pretty big fish, but his monster got away from him. I have a feeling Nate will be going back to that spot to try again. We had a great weekend and hope to go back soon.

What a beautiful camping site. You would never guess that was in Arizona. Tuscanee and I loved watching the videos of Carter. He already has his casting form down perfect. He will out fish his Daddy one of these days. I love the underwater pictures of the fishies. Carter is soooo cute. WE can't wait to see you soon.

What a great place----Carter cracks me up! Like father, like son is a true statement in this case. He already has the form down, and the fishy sound!
Looks like fun! I like those underwater pictures. Nice purchase!
I think I've said it before, but you guys sure do a lot of neat things! Such the little outdoorsy people. Carter is learning to love the outdoors too. Love the fishy pictures. So neat!
