Blessing Weekend

We had a fun Labor Day weekend. Grandma Mee Mee, Papa Rick and Nana all came into town to celebrate Addie's Blessing with us. It was nice having them around to help, have fun with and just be around. We all spent sometime at Nate's new office cleaning and getting things in order. We enjoyed a Yummy dinner at Roy's and went to the cutest little place for breakfast called The Gilbert house. It is just down from Nate's office so I am sure we will enjoy many breakfast and lunches there.

What a cute couple they make!

Addison looked beautiful on her blessing day. Mee Mee got her a beautiful dress that was just perfect. We borrow Tuscanee's blessing shoes, received a cute bracelet from Tuscanee and wear a beautiful bow from one of my good friends. Everything seemed to be going perfectly. We all got ready with plenty of time to spear, everyone was relatively happy, Addie was well fed and due to sleep through her blessing. Well she had something else in mind. The second Nate picked her up she started crying and screamed through the entire blessing until she was safely back in my arms. Nate said it was so hard to concentrate, but did a great job. Thank you to all our friends and family that came to support us and our sweet Addison Marie Green!

Of course she spit up!

She loves her blankies. She immediately fell asleep when we warped the blanket around her. Too cute

Sweet Girl

Camping

Nate has been super busy at work lately, so wanted to do something fun with Carter on Saturday. It actually turned out that Saturday was not going to work out so Nate came home from work Friday and asked Carter if he wanted to go camping. Carter was so excited. They roasted marshmallows around a fire, set up a tent and watched a movie in the tent. Carter loved it and I was even told to go back to bed when I came out to say hi. Too much fun!

Notice the sweat on Nate's head. Nothing like roasting marshmallows in 100+ temperatures. It was Hot!

They spent the night camping in the Tent. Addie and I missed them, but enjoyed our girl time!

Got Milk!

So Addie gets super upset when she has a dirty diaper and gas. She goes through a ton of diapers! I talked to her doctor about it and she suggested that I go off dairy to see if it would help her, since dairy is the #1 culprit for sensitive tummies in babies. So I want off dairy for 2 weeks. I did not think this would be hard for me (except for ice cream) but it was. I did not realize how much dairy I ate in a day. During the 2 weeks she seemed to not be in so much pain and was not so gassy. 2 days after I brought dairy back into my diet, she was not a happy girl and we went through a ton of diapers. It is hard to say if dairy is the only culprit, but it at least helped to be off it. It is amazing how many things have milk of dairy products in it. I am going to have to really look at labels. So good bye ice cold milk, Good bye bowl of cereal, good bye cheese, good bye chocolate chip cookies, good bye milk chocolate, good bye my lovely Ice cream! I will miss you!

Newest AdditionS to our Family

We have officially gone crazy! We love dogs and had 2 at one time. But after Sage died, I remember us saying that we probably wouldn't have 2 dogs again until the kids were older. Well we now have 3 dogs. Yes we are the proud owners of our wonderful 4 year old golden retriever Allie and 2 English Golden Retrievers, Isabella (Izzy - 1 year) and May Fly (May - 15 weeks). We are wanting to get into dog breeding and the opportunity came about that both these dogs were available. So we thought, if we are going to be training one dog, why not just train 2 dogs. It will be easy right? So in addition to taking care of a 3 year old and an almost 3 month old we are busying in our house.

First Day of School

So Carter had his first day of Preschool on Aug 16th. He was so excited. I signed him up for 2 days a week from 9-12. I was a little nervous about how he would act with the fact that I would not be with him. He is quite the mama's boy. He is doing great and when I come to pick him up, he never wants to leave. His teacher, Mrs. Dana is awesome and there are 6 boys total. He comes home with the work that he has done, and it is so fun to look at it and talk about what he did at school. He got a new backpack and loves that. His teacher does this out of her house and has a great curriculum and they are going to do some programs and field trips later in the year that should be fun. He is having lots of fun and this is really good for him to be around the other kids and to learn from them and his teacher. To be honest, I am loving it too. I have been so productive during the time he is at school. I love all that I am able to get done. My little guy is growing up!

He always takes time to stop and pick a flower!

Addison

Addie is two months old. I can't believe it.

She is 10.8 lb (45%), 22 inch long (40%) and her head is 15.50 inch (75%) - she has the big "Green" head. She is smiling all the time and loves Carter.

California 2010

We always look forward to our California trip. This year Carter has been asking to go to the beach for quite sometime. We had to make a countdown chain to get him to stop asking when we would be going. He was so excited to play on the beach and play with is cousins. We decided to leave after work so we would miss the traffic and have an extra day to play. Both Carter and Addison did great on the drive. All but 3 of his cousin on that side were there and he had so much fun playing with them and it made the trip that much more wonderful for us. We visited the Ocean festival and tide pools and spent the rest of the time at the beach house. It was great!

Daddy is so creative

Pancake boy. One morning he at 16 mini pancakes!

Carter absolutely loves Parker and had so much fun with him!

Thanks for the fun crafts Nana!
